Bye-Bye Summer

Well, we've had a wonderful summer but unfortunately it is coming to a close. John started football two-a-days last Monday and I go back this Tuesday. However, I am proud to say that I have only been up to my school once for about 4 hours and will not go back till Tuesday. I'm going to enjoy tomorrow with Mollie and then start panicking about school starting on Tuesday.
This summer has been a lot of firsts for our family. Mollie's first birthday, her first road trip to East Tennessee, South Carolina and of course the beach, her first steps, her first words, our first official night away from her (the real first was when John had his appendix out but we try to forget that if possible) her first pairs of "real" shoes and of course our first full year in our house.
After we got back from our vacation I decided to make our house "ours" even though we had been in it for a year. So one day we packed up Mollie and shipped her over to my parent's house, Gretchen came over and then later on Julie and we did the foyer and the WHOLE living room. I am proud to say that it looks awesome (pictures will be later.) About a week later, we did our kitchen and I finally got my yellow kitchen. No worries, it's not too yellow (Gretchen wouldn't let me get away with that.)
Mollie's doing so well. On Saturday, we had family pictures for the football program and she wore her new Clear Brook shirt that her "GG" made for her and looked SO CUTE!! It was hot outside but we were done very quickly. Mollie wore her monkey backpack she got at the beach and was admired while she walked around with it on.
We are so lucky to have had such a wonderful summer and are very sad to say "bye-bye" to it but we're also excited to see what the school/athletic season has in store for us. Stay tuned!
