A Day At The Pool

Mollie and I went over to Gretchen's house today to swim for a few hours. As usual, we had a blast with Gretchen and Drew. Mollie chilled out in her float while Drew pulled her around the pool, she ate animal crackers in the pool (not the worst thing she's put into their pool) and "jumped" off the step into Ms. G's arms and laughed the whole time. Here are some pictures and a video of all the fun we had today.

Back in Texas

Well, we made it home safely on Monday afternoon. We left Edisto on Sunday and drove to Tallahassee, Florida and spent the night. We got up around 4:30 the next morning and got home @ 5:00 that evening. Mollie did really well but the last two hours were hard as she was tired of being in her car seat and cranky. Thank goodness for the DVD player. We had a wonderful trip and miss everyone so much but we're so glad that our jobs allow us to have this amount of time off for us to spend with everyone.

I don't go back to work till the 17th but John starts two-a-days on the 10th. We're going to try and get some stuff done around the house before he starts back like painting the living room and foyer, and also (maybe) the kitchen area and our bedroom but we'll see. I have a ton of pictures I need to frame and get hung up but that may wait till John is back at work since that's not really his thing.

The weather here isn't that bad. We've been getting rain almost daily (mostly in the evenings) so our grass is pretty green for this time of year. Here are some pictures from our trip. Enjoy!

Beach Bums

We successfully made it to Edisto Beach, South Carolina on Sunday. There are 11 of John's family (including the 3 of us) staying. We've been going to the beach every day, going out to eat and watching Mollie get spoiled by her great-grandparents, Pops and Gran, Aunt Essie and Mike and cousins Liz and Ryleigh.
Mollie LOVES the beach and likes to eat the sand and go in the ocean in her float and "ride the waves" with everyone else. She went to the pool today and had a blast with her Gran and Pops.
She also has a new tooth coming in so John and I are happy if we get 5 hours of sleep at one time during the night. However, we noticed tonight it start breaking through so there is a light at the end of the tunnel for this new tooth we are going to name "Fred."
