Grandma with her 2 angels.
Helen came into town on Thursday and we have had a blast since she arrived! We've been going shopping, eating Whataburger and went to the Mardi Gras parade yesterday afternoon. Every year Galveston has Mardi Gras and they kick it off with a noon parade on the seawall. My good friend Shelby family has an RV that we all meet at and enjoy each other's company every year. Christina brought Victoria and Isabell and Shelby has Mia. All the girls are within the same age range and they always have a blast when we get together.
Mollie enjoyed the parade and liked the beads but got tired of it after awhile so she sat down and just watched. She got a ton of beads and Cy even got his own set. He slept through the whole parade on Helen's chest which was pretty funny since it was so loud at points.
There are also some pictures of Helen with the kids. Her stay has been very short this time around but we are so thankful she was able to come down and see Mollie and meet Cy. Mollie loves being with her and they have a very special relationship. Cy also loves his grandmother, especially because he doesn't like to be put down and she loves holding him!

Look what we found
One month old!
Our handsome little man.
Mollie playing with her old Elmo toy and Cy wondering why he has less room on his play mat. :)
Mollie loving on Cy. This is usual around here.
BUSTED!
John and I were eating dinner tonight and hadn't heard Mollie in a few minutes. We looked into the living room and found her on Cy's play mat playing with him. It was so cute! She loves her baby brother and loves playing with him. She shows him how to play with his toys and likes to help him grab things on his play mat. When he does something right (in her eyes) she says,"Good job Bubba." Her newest saying has been, "Goodness Bubba" which is what I say to him when he's fussy or something like that.
The other 2 pictures are of him on his 1 month birthday. He's getting so long and really starting to fill out. He is awake a lot more and is eating every 4 hours pretty much. He's already trying to get up on his side and scooted onto the carpet off of his play mat yesterday. He loves to be outside and watch the squirrels run and the other kids in our neighborhood play. He also enjoys hanging out with Layne, his BFF that lives down the street that's 7 weeks older.

Elmo Live
We all know how much Mollie loves Elmo so my parents got her tickets to go see Sesame Street Live yesterday. They even went above and beyond and got her tickets for the meet and greet beforehand. Unfortunately, the day before she woke up that morning throwing up (with a bad stomach bug) and was in mine and John's room all day watching movies. As is normal this time of year John had to work on Saturday afternoon so I had both kids for a good majority of they day by myself. That was an adventure, keeping Mollie away from Cy (which killed her every time he cried) and not being able to snuggle with my little girl all day. However my parents came over in the late afternoon so I was able to get some help until John got home. Mollie woke up yesterday morning and felt better, she was even able to keep down a pancake and juice! We decided that either I or John should go with her to see Elmo just to be on the safe side. Since I haven't been out of the house a lot since having Cy John wanted me to go so me, Mollie and my Dad packed up and went.
The meet and greet was pretty cool, especially since it was Elmo and Abby which are her 2 favorites. She patiently waited her turn to have her picture with them and had no problem talking and sitting on their laps. After we got done taking pictures Mollie got up and looked at the 2 characters and said "thank you." It broke my heart. Of course, we had to stop at the "goodie" stand and Dad bought her a t-shirt and activity book and I got her a light up Elmo thing that goes around and around. We then got to our seats which were front row. During the performance the characters will come down into the audience and high-five and give hugs to the kids so Mollie loved that. All in all, it was a good day for her.

3 weeks today
Chillin' out in his swing before bed.
Mollie going in for a kiss.
Cy watching Mollie.
Nap time...I love this picture...he looks so relaxed!
It's funny how fast time has flown by since Cy was born. I can't believe he is 3 weeks old today and will be one month a week from Friday. He's a great baby. He is really starting to focus and be awake more often. He's sleeping 3-4 hours at night and only waking up once or twice. John and I take "shifts" for his feedings. John usually does the 10:00 feeding and I'll do the 2:00 feeding since John has to go to work. Cy's eating 3 ounces at a time (which is up from 1.5 in the hospital) and probably will be going to 4 ounces here in the next 2 weeks. We went in for his 2 week check up last week and he's gaining weight (almost 7 pounds) and is 20 inches long (one more inch then when he was born.) We finally got him to start sleeping in his crib but the past 2 nights he's slept in his bouncy chair due to a little cold he has.
Mollie's still doing well with Cy. She loves to kiss him, pats him on the head any chance she can get and LOVES it when he comes with me to pick her up from daycare. She's so proud to show him off to her friends and her teachers say that she talks about him a lot during the day. Well that's it for now. Love to all!

Vacuum wars!
We got a new TV last weekend and decided to rearrange the living room. Unfortunately because of my recent surgery I'm very limited on what I can do so John did it all himself. As he was moving things around I vacuumed the places that were under the couch and areas like that. These days when I vacuum, Mollie likes too also. She received a play vacuum at Christmas and likes to "help" me on these occasions. One thing she really enjoys is playing chicken with me and my vacuum cleaner. We usually end up banging them together (not hard) and she cracks up. Here are a few pictures from us having our weekly vacuum wars last weekend. Please pardon my dress and lack of figure....it was only 1 week after having Cy.
