Spring Break is HERE!

We officially started spring break on Saturday. I was able to go to the rodeo with Christina and Jason and John had to work and then it got rained out. We saw Josh Turner, he was okay, but had fun walking around and seeing the bull riding and all that stuff. The Houston Rodeo is a big deal around here. It's the biggest rodeo in the world and it goes on for 2-3 weeks. If you are lucky to perform at the Rodeo then you've made it is what everyone says.
Yesterday was CRAZY! We went to church, had breakfast, went to do a little shopping at Barnes and Noble and Target, came home Mollie and John took a very quick nap and fed Mollie. After that Mollie had her 9 month portraits at JC Penney's and they came out so cute. Don't worry we ordered plenty. Then our good friends Gretchen and Joe had a crawfish boil so we hung out over there till about 6 and brought the little monkey home and put her down for the night.
John has to work today (unless it gets rained out which I personally doubt) and Mollie has her 9 month check-up with the doctor. I'm really curious to see how much she weighs and how long she is. We'll probably do something this morning with Christina and Isabell since Christina is still off for maternity leave.
We leave for our little trip tomorrow and are really excited. We'll take lots of pictures. Hope all is well and love to everyone!

Almost there....

After a VERY rough night 2 nights ago, we can see Mollie's new tooth cutting threw. YEA!!!! The other night she woke us up at 12:45 and we were up till around 1:45. After mylicon (for gas), her teething soltuion and then tylenol and some Sesame Street (thank you DVR) she fell asleep on John. John ended up sleeping the rest of the night with her on the couch but she was restless so needless to say he was very tired yesterday morning.
We kept her home today from day care so she could get some good rest and cuddle time. Luckly my mom was gracious enough to stay with her so cuddle time was endless which was good for both of them. By this afternoon she was back to her normal self, talking, eating and smiling so she'll be going back to day care tomorrow.
Mollie and John went to the ENT today for her check-up and she fianlly got the clean bill for the tubes. Her hearing is back to normal (or may be normal for the first time since she was born) and the tubes are working.
Today when I got home John told me you could see her new tooth and sure enough it's coming through. Once this tooth gets threw she will feel so much better until the next one comes. Besides that, things are good here at the Harmon house.
We have 2 more days till spring break and it is much deserved for us both but especially John. Hope all is well and love to everyone.

Can I help you?

It's race time!!

Racing for the bathtub....

Daddy, can't I just jump in?

Back in the saddle

Yes, I know I am a horrible mother for not updating Mollie's blog more often but time has been flying by and I'm just know starting to feel like I can slow down. The past almost 2 months have been insane for our family. In January, Mollie had 3 ear infections in about 4-5 weeks so we decided to get tubes done. Well we had to take her back the next week and have them sucked out because they were so bad. John has had to take her in again, 2 weeks later, to have them sucked out. However, they are working now and he takes her back next week and hopefully we'll get the all clear for the next 3-6 months. Keep those fingers crossed!
A lot of our friends and family know we have been busy but this time of year is killer on John. Starting in January he had basketball, wrestling, soccer, track practice and baseball practice starting. Basketball and wrestling are over (sorry Pillow) and track and soccer are winding down but baseball is winding up. Also spring football will start in April/May so hopefully by June things will be back to normal or whatever that is. In the middle of all of this, John and I got a Honda Pilot this past weekend. It's a 2005, with 50, 000 miles on it. It's like a charcoal color with gray leather seats, DVD, sunroof and other stuff that John will probably only know how to work. I love it and can't wait to go on our first road trip.
Our spring break is in a week and a half (WOO HOO!!) and the three of us are going to Fredricksburg which is outside of Austin for three days. We are so excited to be able to get out of town as a family and enjoy each other for a while. We're also going to get Mollie's 9 month pictures taken and also her 9 month doctor's visit while we're off.
Speaking of the Monkey...she is doing wonderfully! She has pretty much outgrown her baby car seat and we bought her a "big girl" car seat last night. She is crawling everywhere and can fit through places I never expect. She says, "Da Da, Ma Ma and Na Na." I think the na na is her form of no (which she is hearing a lot of these days.) She's standing up while holding onto something and is working on holding and walking. She doesn't have any teeth yet but we think she's teething so maybe soon although I do enjoy those gummy grins. She also still loves her Sesame Street especially Elmo!
Well I think that's it for now. Love to all!
